Dianes Sweet Adeline journey began in 1972 when she joined the Iowa Choral Belles as a baritone. When she moved back home
to St. Louis she joined the Kirkwood Chorus (now St. Louis Harmony). Diane has enriched many choruses with her love of barbershop
during the past 25 years.
Diane began her directing career in 1980 with the OFallon (later Mid-Rivers) Chorus. In 1986 she joined the River Blenders
as assistant director, then Director in 1989.

A talented musician and exciting performer, Diane has been in several choruses and quartets, singing both baritone and bass.
She coaches choruses and quartets throughout Sweet Adelines International, sharing her expert advice and sparking new Barbershop
talent wherever she goes.
In 1986, after only a few months rehearsing together, Ambiance won the International Quartet Competition with Diane as bass.
Ambiance distinguished themselves among Queens of Harmony by becoming one of only two quartets to win the competition on their
first try.
Diane and her husband, Gary, a member of the Ambassadors of Harmony Chorus (SPEBSQSA), make their home in St. Charles, Missouri.
They have three grown sons.
