An Ambiance performance is like watching their recordings come to life!

FROM HANNA STOTLAND (Recorded A Cappella Review Board):
It's a rare a cappella-hater who won't listen in open-mouthed awe to Ambiance's Excerpts from Rhapsody in Blue. It's one of my favorite musical recordings of all time and still gives me goosebumps every single spin. If this track doesn't convert the anti-barbershoppers you know, nothing will. (Any a cappella fan who has not heard this track must. I won't bother to describe its magnificence. Just find yourself a copy of that song.)

CONTEMPORARY A CAPPELLA SOCIETY - CARA AWARD 1992 Unsigned Professional Best Arrangement: Rhapsody of New York Ambiance David Wright was flirting with disaster when he decided to arrange Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue for four female voices and to write his own lyrics. The result, however, was brilliantly innovative, weaving the textures of the time-tested orchestration into a vocal tapestry, and spinning a witty, Porter-esque commentary on a day in the life of the Big Apple.
